Welsummer hatching eggs

Welsummer chickens originated in the Netherlands. Welsummer hens usually have gold hair-like feathers on their necks and lay brown eggs. Welsummers are intelligent and friendly and make excellent free rangers. They are one of the few breeds that can be sexed at birth. Females have dark, clearly defined lines around their eyes, and extending beyond the eyes, while the same line on males is indistinct and blurry. Females also have a clearly defined dark triangle on the tops of their heads and males have a less obvious, much blurrier marking. The most famous Welsummer is Cornelius, the rooster on Kellogs corn flake boxes.
