Leghorn hatching eggs

These birds get their name from Livoma, Italy which also translates to Leghorn in English. Hens are capable of producing over 250 eggs per year and average adult weight ranges between 3 and 4 pounds.

Favored by laboratories that do embryonic and Avian research , they are also the number one breed used in large commercial egg operations in the United States.
